The state government has vowed to stick with the controversial two-year trial of the safe injecting room following the shock arrest of two outreach workers over allegations they were dealing heroin.

However the scandal has engulfed the CEO of the North Richmond Community Health centre, Demos Krouskos, who was stood down by the board on Friday. An immediate review was launched into whether the centre failed to prevent alleged criminal activity by its staff.
