Jesse Colling

Jesse has been a dedicated volunteer with Harm Reduction Victoria’s ‘Dancewize’ program for the past eight years, serving as a key peer educator. In this role, Jesse has provided essential drug education and harm reduction support to attendees at live music events. With deep roots in the nightlife and electronic music community, Jesse is committed to driving meaningful reform that improves lives and destigmatizes recreational substance use.
In 2020, while volunteering with Students for Sensible Drug Policy, Jesse co-authored a submission for the Inquiry into the Use of Cannabis in Victoria and subsequently testified at the senate hearing. Since 2021, Jesse has worked as a harm reduction worker with Cohealth, as a Care & Recovery Coordinator within a drug treatment team and on-site at Victoria’s drug checking program in the summer of 2024. He currently works at the Penington Institute. Jesse’s career in health is centred on serving and advocating for drug users in the greatest need.
