Yasmin Karaata

Yasmin is a competent community development, stakeholder engagement & operations leader. Her versatile sector skills and experience spanning for almost 20 years has given her an edge in which she has built a strong track record in developing, delivering and managing integrated community/ family & children’s programs. She is currently Program Manager at Brotherhood of St Laurence – Connie Benn Centre in Fitzroy.

She has experience in community engagement & service delivery with a strong emphasis in bringing along dedicated, engaged & diverse teams and stakeholders. Her energy, positive motivation & exceptional group training & facilitation skills has transformed challenged stakeholder relationships, networks & teams into robust, collaborative & thriving teams.

A passionate leader, human rights advocate, who strives for equity; particularly for disadvantaged minority ethnic & refugee groups working within diversity and inclusion framework. She brings high integrity, commitment to her work and values building relationships.

She is a child migrant from Turkish/ Muslim background and faith.
